I like to make the design and production process as streamlined and as hassle-free as possible for the client, and meet the client's needs; If you are in the Cairns vicinity I would be very pleased to meet in person for an initial briefing meeting, or else I can correspond remotely via email, fax etc. if that method is more suitable.Much of my present work relies on this method which proves time-saving and efficient, reducing superfluous time and energy spent coordinating and meeting. The entire design process can adopt an electronic workflow, from initial quote, through interim correspondence via pdf attachments, final proofing, and in many instances electronic transmission of files to printers using direct-to-press methods. Thus, the final job can be turned around in a matter of a day or so, depending on printers schedules.

Publishing: From my initial experience in book publishing I would be very happy to get involved with anyone who has desires to get their own work published. If you have just a manuscript that you would like typeset to an attractive page layout, or a full-blown illustrative book concept, I can assist you to provide design input on the whole project - from page layout to cover design.I am surprised by the plethora of creative people in the Cairns locale and impressed by the local authors who have had their own books published: there seems to be a thriving cottage industry in historical narratives and biographies on all manner of interesting subjects… I would love to share my knowledge and experience from the visual arts and apply this to such projects as a means to maximising your project's potential, both in its aesthetic appeal, and consequently enhancing its market potential.
Proof-Reading: I can perform competent proof-reading skills; if you require your labour-of-love given the final check over for typographical and grammatical finesse then I would be pleased to provide this service.

Alongside my design ability, and an integral aspect of the creative process is my ability to spell and perform good grammar! - this I see as a crucial aspect of good communication and one which I feel is sorely lacking in many disciplines; In an era of immediacy alas it appears that the written (or typed?) word has suffered - be it through insufficient time or poor education.
I pride myself on this ability, since good communication skills is the essence of design in an information world.
